I missed “Into the Blue” but heard a lot about it! The photos looks pretty impressive. It’s disappointing to hear of theft/vandalism of exhibits again this year - really unfortunate.

You should have kept going after 1 though! The video shot above was while I had gone solo. There’s some art that’s really impressive when you experience it on your own!

I actually thought ” Into the blue” was quite interesting. You don’t get the full-effect till you stand underneath it for some time and absorb the view. My only criticism would be for it to have a more dynamic lighting to ” make it shine”.

The Ryerson Pond was again another dramatic one with unwanted audience participation. While last year we had one of the audience pee into the toilet installations, the current one had around a few dozen/hundred people coming in to steal all the rubber duckies. And like last year, those people will probably be in some ER or walk-in-clinic getting treated for some disease (considering bums and drunks actually relieve themselves there at night).

All-in-all, I wish I had a bigger entourage. Most of mine had to work the next day so I had my adventure cut off at 1am.

Aw man! I am so upset that I missed this!! I was frequenting Zone A and B.

Nuit Blanche 2008 in Toronto, was a hit. Nearly 800,000 people took to the streets. Regretfully, the installations were rather disappointing. Amanta Scott invited visitors into a very warm and private space for 15 Minutes of Fame, featuring Karla Homolka’s prison bed!! Into the Blue was an enormous, blue, ‘turd’-shaped balloon.
